Several ZHA members will be attending and representing the Zebrafish Husbandry Association (ZHA) at this year's Madison Zebrafish Meeting! We will have representatives with information about our organization at the iLab Solutions booth in the vendor area. Please stop by for a visit!

President -- Christian Lawrence

Christian Lawrence's Bio:
Christian Lawrence is a fish biologist specializing in the management and husbandry of zebrafish.  He has worked with zebrafish in both a technical and managerial capacity for eight years, and currently oversees a core facility supporting investigators from Children's Hospital Boston and Brigham and Women's Hospital.  Christian also consults on zebrafish management issues for academic and private institutions in the U.S. and abroad.  He has an MS in Biology from the University of Massachusetts-Boston, a BS in Wildlife Biology from Arizona State University, and a BA in Communications from Seton Hall University

President-Elect -- Joe Sillitti

Joe Sillitti's Bio:

Joe has a BS in Marine Biology from Texas A&M University – Galveston with a specialization in Ichthyology and Aquaculture. Joe began his career in aquaculture at Walt Disney World in Florida, where he worked in both the Aquacell and Living Seas Aquarium. After leaving Disney, Joe took a position with Charles River Laboratories, where he oversaw the management of all of the aquatic facilities on the National Institute of Health campus. Joe currently works for Tecniplast USA as an Aquatics Program Specialist.


Vice-President -- Judy Bennett

Judy Bennett's Bio:

Judy has extensive aquaculture and fisheries biology experience that includes stints at the New Jersey State Fish Hatchery, the National Marine Fisheries Service, and Fins Technology, a commercial fish operation in Turner’s Falls, Massachusetts.  Judy has since moved on to the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where she has spent the past three years managing zebrafish facilities for three different investigators.  


Secretary -- Amy Doherty

Amy Doherty's Bio:
Amy has managed zebrafish health at the Massachusetts General Hospital Cardiovascular Research Center for over eight years.  In addition to building and managing a new zebrafish facility for the MGH Center for Comparative Medicine, she also acts as the lab manager for all of the labs in the CVRC.  Amy also frequently serves as a zebrafish husbandry consultant.  She earned a BS in Marine Biology from Roger Williams University.  In 2007, Amy served as Vice- President of the New England Zebrafish Husbandry Association.


Treasurer -- Seth Jeannotte

Seth Jeannotte's Bio:
A biology major with a background in commercial construction, Seth Jeannotte is relatively new to the Zebrafish community.  Since joining Marine Biotech as a Territory Manager in early 2007, Seth has developed relationships in labs throughout North America and Europe. Seth has over 10 years of experience serving on the boards and executive committees of a number of associations, including a chamber of commerce and a not-for-profit group supporting cancer research.  Seth also served as Treasurer of a closely held commercial construction company.
