Interests:
I split my time between architecture and zebrafish currently. So it might not be a surprise that my interest lies in where the two filelds overlap. There is currently a shortage of expertise among the design community with regards to this facility type. And unless first hand knowledge is brought directly into the process of design, the facility type will continue to evolve slowly.
Experience:
I hold a bachelor's in biology and a masters in Architecture. I've been working on the facilities side of Zebrafish Research Labs for the past 12 years or so. I currently work for the Zebrafish International Resource Center as their Facility Project Coordinator. I'm also a designer at Rowell Brokaw Architects here locally.
